La Federación ECOM y el Colegio de Fisioterapeutas de Cataluña han firmado el pasado 11 de noviembre un convenio de fisioterapia de mantenimiento a personas con discapacidad física, especialmente a aquellos que por motivos económicos no pueden recibir este tratamiento a nivel privado.
Según ha expuesto ECOM en un comunicado, esta cooperación se ha iniciado de forma piloto con un grupo de personas de la asociación federada AVECE Sant Boi con secuelas físicas posteriores a un Accidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), que no podían costearse un tratamiento privado y tampoco lo recibían público.
ECOM, que prevé ampliar el programa en función de los resultados, ha reivindicado «una atención continuada, dirigida al mantenimiento y mejora de la autonomía personal de los discapacitados físicos», ante «un sistema público que suele estar más orientado a ofrecer un diagnóstico y una solución curativa».
